AUDITIONS TO TAKE PLACE AT NEW BRITAIN STADIUM STARTING AT 9 AM
(New Britain, Conn., March 6, 2017) New Britain Bees team officials today announced that the team will host the second annual Anthem Idol event to find National Anthem Singers for the 2017 season on Saturday, March 25th. The Bees will also host On-Field Host tryouts for the season directly following Anthem Idol. The event will take place at New Britain Stadium (230 John Karbonic Way, New Britain), with Anthem Idol running from 9 AM to 11 AM, and On-Field Host tryouts from 11 AM until 12 PM. Those auditioning are asked to arrive 15 minutes before their selected audition starts, and no late candidates will be considered.
Anthem Idol performances must be done a capella with a time limit of one minute and 30 seconds. National Anthem lyrics must be sung from memory, and instrumentalists or other unique performers are encouraged to participate as well. No tapes will be accepted. Performers will be judged by members of the Bees’ front office staff, and the winner of Anthem Idol will sing the National Anthem on Opening Night presented by Advanced Physical Therapy on April 21st against the York Revolution!
The Bees are looking for an enthusiastic, positive, energetic person to represent the team as On-Field Host during in-game promotions. The On-Field Host must be able to memorize game scripts as well as improvise dialogue during games. Candidates are encouraged to contact Craig Sawicki, Promotions Assistant, at
