New Britain Bees 2019 Schedule Released

(New Britain, Conn., October 18, 2018) – New Britain Bees team officials today announced the release of their schedule for the 2019 season.

The 2019 schedule will include 140 contests and features 70 home games at New Britain Stadium. The Bees will begin their season on the road on Friday, April 26 when they travel to Somerset to face the Patriots. Following a six-game road trip, New Britain will play their home opener against the Patriots on Friday, May 3.

“We’re very excited about this year’s schedule and celebrating the 2019 season at New Britain Stadium,” says Bees General Manager Brad Smith. “The organization is looking forward to putting together a competitive team, a great promotional schedule and continuing our tradition of affordable family entertainment, while providing our guests with the best Bees experience ever.”

For the majority of the season, Monday through Saturday contests will start at 6:35 p.m. and Sunday tilts will be played at 1:35 p.m.

The Bees will host a pair of ever popular Baseball in Education Days on Thursday, May 16 and Wednesday, May 29, with both games scheduled for 10:35 a.m. Two Summer Camp Days have been announced as well for Thursday, July 18 and Wednesday, July 31, with both contests slated for 12:05 p.m.

New Britain also has a pair of scheduled doubleheaders in 2018. The first will occur on Wednesday, May 29 and will be split admission. Game one is the Baseball in Education game at 10:35 a.m., and the second tilt will start at 6:35 p.m. The second doubleheader is single admission and is slated for Sunday, September 8. Game one will begin at the normal 1:35 p.m. start time, and game two will commence a half hour following the conclusion of the first contest.

A Labor Day game is also on the schedule for Monday, September 2 against Somerset with a special 1:35 p.m. start time.

Fans will be able to get a look at the new Atlantic League franchise, the High Point Rockers, from May 24-26 when the Bees host them at New Britain Stadium for the first time.

The Bees final homestand of the 2019 campaign will be a seven-game series with the Sugar Land Skeeters and Rockers from September 13-19 at New Britain Stadium, while they wrap up the season on the road against Somerset from September 20-22.

Promotions for the 2019 season will be announced at a later date and game times are subject to change.
