BEES TAKE ON PATRIOTS ON FINAL FIREWORKS NIGHT OF SEASON

In 140 Characters or Less: The Bees’ bats look to make fireworks on the final fireworks night of the season vs. Somerset! First pitch 6:35PM!

Series: Somerset’s 5-1 win over New Britain in the second game of the four-game series last night clinched the second half Liberty Division title for the Patriots. The final game of this series- and the season- will take place tomorrow afternoon at 1:35PM.

Promotions: Tonight is a Social Media Saturday! The hottest ticket in town just got hotter thanks to you. Be the star of the show all night long and tag your ballpark selfies with the hashtag “#ItsBetterWithTheBees” — winners will be picked, re-posted on official team social media accounts, and rewarded with a signed baseball from that game's starting pitcher! It will also be Stanley Night! The Bees: During his six-game hitting streak, Steve Carrillo is hitting .318 (7-22) with a pair of doubles, a home run, and four RBIs.

The Opposition: Outfielder Aharon Eggleston has reached base safely in 46 of his last 48 games played dating back to July 20th. The only games in which he has not reached base have both come against the Bees (September 11th at Somerset and Thursday at New Britain Stadium).

Key to the Game: Garceau what?— In two starts for the Patriots against the Bees this season, Shaun Garceau has not been treated kindly by the Bees’ offense. The right-hander has allowed New Britain to hit .341 against him in those two games, allowing 14 hits and five earned runs in 10.2 innings. Look for the Bees to continue their success tonight against Garceau.
