BEES' PUSH TO PLAYOFFS CONTINUES AGAINST SOMERSET

Series: Somerset took the opening game of the three-game weekend series last night with a 4-3 win over the Bees. Following tonight’s game, the final game of the season series at TD Bank Ballpark will take place Sunday afternoon.

The Bees: First baseman Jon Griffin is batting .417 (15-36) during his ten-game hitting streak against the Patriots. In those ten games, Griffin has six extra-base hits (five doubles and a home run), nine RBIs and five runs scored.

The Opposition: During his six-game hitting streak against New Britain, outfielder Aharon Eggleston is batting .321 (9-28) with two home runs, six RBIs, and five runs scored.

Key to the Game: Mike’d Up— Over his last four starts, Mike Lee has allowed two or fewer runs in each of those starts, twice limiting opponents to no runs while averaging 6.5 innings per start. The right-hander will look to continue his stretch of superb pitching in an effort to knot this series at one game each and put the Bees black in a playoff spot.
