BEES WELCOME IN BLUEFISH FOR FINAL TIME THIS SEASON

In 140 Characters or Less: The Bees return home to take on the Bridgeport Bluefish for the final time this season! First pitch 6:35PM!

Series: The last series between the Bees and Bluefish took place in late July at Bridgeport with the Bluefish winning two of three games. The Bees trail by one game in the season series 9-8. This is the final series of the season between the in-state rivals.

Promotions: Today is a Fox 61 Two-fer Tuesday! Fans purchasing tickets to tonight’s game can receive a special buy one, get one free offer by entering the promo code “BOGO” when buying tickets online on the day of the game (max four total tickets per transaction). Prior to the game, the Bees will hold a special on-field ceremony to honor manager Stan Cliburn, who won his 1,600th career game on August 18th. Fans coming to the game are asked to be at their seats by 6:15PM for the ceremony.

The Bees: New Britain returns home after getting swept over the weekend at Southern Maryland. At 18-26 in the second half entering this series (54-60 overall), the Bees sit six games out of first in the Liberty Division. 

The Opposition: The Bluefish visit New Britain with the second best record in the Liberty Division in the second half with a 23-20 record, just a half game in back of Somerset for the division lead. Bridgeport is 53-60 overall and has won six of its last ten games.

New Britain- RHP Kyle Simon (6-5, 2.95) | Bridgeport- David Kubiak (6-3, 2.90)

Key to the Game: Back in the win column- The Bees will look to get back to the ways that helped them win six of seven games before their road trip this past weekend. To help get them back in the win column, the Bees send Kyle Simon to the hill, who has a 1.80 ERA in three starts against the Bluefish this season.
