BEES LOOK FOR WIN OVER BARNSTORMERS IN HOMESTAND FINALE

Series: The Barnstormers have taken the first two games of this three-game series and now hold a 9-7 lead in the season series over the Bees. Today’s game will mark the final game at New Britain Stadium this season between the two teams.

The Bees: The Bees have found their collective power stroke in August. The team enters this afternoon’s game with six home runs so far this month, tied with the Somerset Patriots for the most in the league. 

The Opposition: K.C. Hobson has put up very strong numbers against the Bees this season, particularly when he visits New Britain Stadium. The left-handed hitter is hitting .324 (12-37) in ten games against the Bees, with three of his ten home runs on the year coming against New Britain. At New Britain Stadium, Hobson has hit two home runs and driven in seven runs.

Key to the Game: Simon Says Do Not Pass Go- In two starts against Lancaster this season, Kyle Simon has yielded very little. In 13 innings, he has allowed just four earned runs and three walks, good for a 1-1 record and 2.77 ERA. New Britain will look for the right-hander to continue his dominance against Lancaster this afternoon as the Bees look to end the homestand on a high note.
