BEES OPEN THREE-GAME SERIES WITH REVOLUTION

In 140 Characters or Less: The Bees welcome in the York Revolution to begin a three-game series at New Britain Stadium! First pitch 6:35PM!

Series: York enters the series holding a 9-4 edge in the season series with the Bees, with the Revolution sweeping the Bees in their last series from July 15-17 at PeoplesBank Park.

The Bees: New Britain will look to turn its 9-15 second half record around as the calendar flips to August. The Bees split their most recent series with the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs and are now 45-49 overall.

The Opposition: The Revolution are off to a 12-11 start to the second half of their season after clinching a playoff spot by posting the Freedom Division’s best record in the first half. The Revolution’s offense is one of the best in the league, posting the second most hits (881) and third highest batting average (.274).

Key to the Game: Flip the calendar- The Bees’ 12-16 record in the month of July was their first record below .500 in a full month this season. The start of a new month will give the Bees the chance to regroup and start fresh as they look to make a push towards a playoff spot. To reset their sights, the Bees will turn to staff ace Kyle Simon to get August started on the right foot.
